![]() Here is an idea (leveraging student groups) to make our life better. Step 1: Monitor. Ask students to spend a week recording what annoys them. Students should look for behaviors and situations that they would like to change; things that would make the world better and life easier. Examples may include drivers who double-park or block ramps, people who are impolite, smoke in front of babies/nonsmokers, spit, litter, talk loud etc. Use a collaborative doc (e.g. a google form or google doc) to allow participants enter their ideas online. Step 2: List. Categorise the behaviors listed in Step 1. Appoint a committee or run a workshop to do that. Step 3: Challenge. Invite students to submit 30" videos (funny if possible), cartoons, infographics, write a short story about someone who did the right thing or improvise ideas for actions that if publiscised will prompt others to change their behaviour. Step 4: Motivate. Find sponsors to offer prizes, appoint a committee to select the best initiatives and award the prizes. Step 5: Share. Publicise the event.
